I have scoliosis. And I were a brace. I just wanted to know how you handle the whole brace thing at school. I'm afraid someone will bump into me and be like omg ur like harden, whats rong w/u?? AHH PLZZ HELP. If someone does bump you just play it cool like it's no big deal. People will only bug you if they know it will bother you. Just say, "Yeah, I wear a brace for my back, big deal. " Don't let them get to you and don't take anything personal, kids can be cruel. You're brace keeps you healthy and that's what matters. Good for you for taking such good care of yourself. Remember... play it cool. i have 19 degrees and just tell them no biggy i dont think anyone will care that much my friend has one and noone cares. i might need a brace soon just tell them if they ask its not like its a desise If someone asks, just tell them that u wear the brace becuase ur spine isnt straight. thats what i did. i have a 34*T and 22*L and ive had my brace for almost a year. good-luck. Well, if you are worried about that aspect, there are soft braces like spinecor which is like wearing another layer of clothing.
