Scoliosis, will it progress? |
Hello, since I was a baby Iremember having scoliosis. I remember going to the doctor and doing exercises with him everyday for a year. When the doctor first found out Ihave it he said the best for me would be surgery but my parents didn;t want me to have it. Now i'm 21. I don;t look any different then other girls, don't have much pain, only sometimes. I have lower back scoliosis. Do you think it's progressing? Do you think everything will be fine or someday I will have to have surgery? I would go to the doctor if you're worried about it. I don't think that surgery is an option unless you have a severe case - it sounds like you just have a mild curvature. I have it too, went to the shriners hospital for 16 years, it never got worse and I am 39 now (old) no back troubles at all. Just keep having it checked and you'll be fine. Don't worry... |
