Does anyone besides me suffer from periodic bouts of depression? I have scleroderma (systemic sclerosis)?

I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis & Sarcoidosis; My lungs are affected (wheezing and shortness of breath), my mouth is much smaller, but generally, I feel pretty good because I know that God is caring for me.

I think I'd be depressed too if I had your condition.

Try to maybe find a support group of other people with similar conditions.

It's interesting that you mention God though. I can't understand how a loving, caring God could allow people to suffer like that. My only choice is to either believe in an uncaring, indifferent God, or not to believe in one at all.

Sorry I had to burden you with my beliefs, or lack thereof - I hope you can find a way to help yourself.

Peace! Report It

Everyone has periodic bouts of depression

hi. i have scleroderma as well and have dealt with depression. what got me through it was my family(my parents are amazing) and my faith. i keep praying and remember that god does not let us suffer through anything we can not carry. i put verses on my bedroom wall that would encourage me. For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. (Jeremiah 30:17)
is one of my fave verses. john hagee also a CD (link below) with healing verses. it helped me alot to hear the word of god and know that i was not alone in this battle.

and lastly, i suggest reading a book i have provided a link to. http://www.amazon.com/New-Arthritis-Brea...

i myself am undergoing this treatment and i have seen drastic results. i do not want to push anything on you but want you to know you are not alone. this disease is not a forgiving one and you are in my prayers. please email if you have questions.
