Sciatica / Piriformis Syndrome?

I have been diagnosed with sciatica and piriformis syndrome. Can anyone tell me a bit about this eg symptoms etc. I know there are medical sites I can look at, but it is nice to actually have some feedback from someone with the same condition.

Thank-you
