Sciatica and surgery? |
i am going for an MRI tomorrow for my Sciatica and i have for the last 3 months been taking, vicodine, ibup, steroids, physical therapy but none of them have helped i want to just go and have the surgery and just be able to walk. It gets so bad at times that i cant walk or move. i have a special needs 15 month old and i cant even hold him. It seems that it is getting worse everyday, the muslce relaxers and pain pills arent even helping anymore. I had keyhole surgery to trim away the disc which was causing I just went for an MRI about my sciatica but haven't heard back yet on what they are doing. I hope they can fix me up as well as it has taken a lot away from me. I guess I just want to rebuff your question in hopes of someone who has or knows the surgical procedure, down time from it, pain level of operation and healing, as well as if it came back no advice on surgery. one thing that might help is compression of the siatic nerve, the compression will cause it to numb. find the nerve trunk in your gluteal region, you might need ***-istance, lol, from someone. press around in your butt cheek toward your hip w/ thumb until the nerve is hit, youll know when you find it. apply strong pressure for about 30 sec. break for a min. then repeat, this might relieve some or all pain. |
