What is sciatica? and can it be cured? |
I get this tingling burning sensation when I walk. I have been told this is sciatica. I would like some more information on it please. Thanks It is a Nero muscular decease making lower limb highly sensitive and aching. Their are no known cause & treatment but in some cases it has been scen that same symptom also appears due to growth of illiac(hip bone) notch's abnormal growth the seatic nerve is getting pressed causing problem. Than the abnormal growed part of bone is removed by surgery by surgery. Traction to the leg will help you also. Generally cause by a trapped nerve.....you need to see a Chiropractor or an Osteopath to get it sorted out......the treatment is manipulation to untrap the nerve......good luck ! It's a pain caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve in the spine , an operation can sometimes ease the situation !! i suffered from this ever since breaking my back 14yrs ago, the only cure in the end was having my main sciatic nerve removed for which i dont recommend for you unless its that unbearable, i'd consider heat pads or tens machine's before doing anything drastic. yes it can be sorted out. Osteopaths are very good at dealing with it. You can take pain killers but some people find that sciatica is a symptom of stress ie if you feel that something in your life is a pain in the bum it will manifest itself in your own physical discomfort Sciatica is caused by irritated nerves in the lower back, when they get pinched by a slipped disk. you get a pain plus tingling and numbness going down your leg sometimes in the foot as well, It often involves lower back pain as well. Go to your doctor to find out for sure, because it can be treated. it is pain affecting the back, hip, and leg caused by the nerve. My husband had it really bad but it just went away in the end not sure bout a cure tho sorry. I have suffered from sciatica for over 12 years after an accident .I have tried all kinds of medication .But i get by having epidural injections twice a year .But its always there the pain . I have had it since having my boy but for me it not a burning sensation, have you been diagnosed by doc? If so I agree most above advice, I am currently having acupuncture which seems to be working quite well, the best was the chiropractor though. Also very good to do Pilate's type exercises A shooting pain starting from lower back and ending anywhere from hip joint to ankle or sole of foot. Its usually pain caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve most people just live with in and it doesn't go away Who told you it was sciatica? A doctor? If it wasn't, it may not be. I don't think you really cure sciatica, you can merely treat the symptoms. It's a main nerve that runs in the spine. I have the best answer for your question "What is sciatica? and can it be cured?".
