Do I have sciatica?

Around two years ago I started experiencing some extremely sharp pains in my lower back that effected my right leg. It wasn't anything was too serious and I ignored it for the first couple of months. Now, The pain has gotten so bad, that I can hardly get out of bed in the morning It hurts to stand, and it is even more painful when I am sitting in a car or at my desk. The pain shoots down my whole right leg and my leg basically goes numb. The only way to relieve the pain is to lie down flat on my back (obviously hard to do when you work in a hotel). There have been times that I have honestly not been able to sit up after sleeping all night due to the pain. I have tried different sleeping positions, stretches, diet and exercise, and nothing seems to be working. If this isn't sciatica, could this possibly be caused by anything else? I am rather large chested, so could that have some effect on it? Thanks to all those who can give me any advice! :)

I feel your pain, I opted for surgery and boy do I regret it, I have had no relief at all, and honestly it's worse now I have days that I can not get out of bed and I am only 26 years old, the one thing that has helped me is stretching my ab muscles and lots of aleve, also sleeping in a fetal position helps but the pain never goes away sorry, you need to get an MRI to find the cause of the nerve pain,
