Difference between "Risk Factor" and "High Risk Health Behavior" ???

I just started taking a health class in school called "Lifetime Wellness". Part of the first chapter is to learn these 2 terms.

The definitions in which they have in the textbook are as follows...

Risk Factor: a biomedical index such as serum cholesterol level, or a behavioral pattern such as smoking, associated with chronic illness.

High-Risk Health Behavior: a behavior pattern, such as smoking, associated with a high risk of developing a chronic illness.

(I can't seem to find a difference between the two) Can someone help? (Thanx)

I "think" I have identified the difference between the two (in which isn't much).

Please tell me if I am correct:

A High Risk Health Behavior is in fact a Risk Factor, however a Risk Factor is not neccessarily a High Risk Health Behavior, because it can be something along the lines of heredity. (however smoking is BOTH!)

Am I right?

Risk factors include both modifiable and unmodifiable variables. High-risk health behavior is a type of risk factor that represents a modifiable variable to ones health (e.g. smoking). However risk factors can also be things like family history of heart disease or genetic disorders that cannot be changed.

So risk factor is a broad term that includes high risk behaviors among other things.

Risk Factor is a noun.
Risk Behavior is a verb.

For example, a risk factor for gum disease is the presence of dental plaque. (Plaque is a noun. Plaque in the risk factor.)

For example, a high risk behavior is jumping off a bridge without a bungee cord. (Jumping is a verb. Jumping is the high risk behavior.)

Got it? Cool.

A risk factor is something that increases the chance of the undesired result. Smoking increases the chance of cancer. Being a smoker is a risk factor to consider what factoring the chances of cancer.

High Risk Behavior is the behavior that exposes the person to the risk. It is the act or engagement in the behavior. The behavior is smoking. When a person smokes, they are engaging in high risk health behavior.
