Schizophrenia....?

When dealing with this disease is it normal for the same foods to taste differently? And to feel like there's no privacy?

in different times and different places foods taste different becouse the atmosphere is different and everybody is trying to intrude others privacy...

Schizophrenia does involve delusions and hallucinations. I've read about hallucinations that can involve a person's sense of smell and taste.

The feeling like there's no privacy sounds kind of like the common delusion of a person with schizophrenia who thinks that others can read his/her thoughts.

Privacy? Are you referring to feeling paranoid?

Are you a schizophrenic or are you asking about someone who is and is complaining about these things? I am a schizophrenic paranoid. It is not normal for foods to taste differently but there are episodes of altered sensations in some of the schizophrenia types. As for privacy, if you have been hospitalized then you are under constant observation there and there is little privacy especially if you are suicidal.

If you are living with family they may keep a close watch on you as per doctor's instructions, to see if you take your medications or are hallucinating and need a change of environment, like someone to talk to. In hallucinatory schizophrenia it is kind of an obsession to want to be alone with your thoughts and you resent intrusion especially if the hallucinations are entertaining.

Good luck with your illness or your schizophrenic, good mental health, peace and Love!

schizophrenia is not a disease,it is an illness. if you are on certain medications to stablize the chemicals in the brain.it can make foods taste different. and yes you can feel invaded on your space. it is very importantfor you to read about this illness to understand what your body is going threw. stay focused. you can do it.
