Scars?????

im recovering from cutting and i have scars and is there a way to either cover them up really well or to do something so other people can't see them?

Mederma works reasonably well, but it is fairly expensive.

Scars will never truly go away. Something like Mederma will fade them, but they'll still be there.

My friend crushes up asprin and then adds just a few drops of water to make a paste which she applies to her scars which she says works pretty well to fade them, so you might try that.

Good for you for giving up cutting. I know it's really hard.

Good luck.

You could try the Tylenol. However, asprin and Tylenol are different chemical compunds and therefore I would assume they would work differently.

Also consider cover-up. Just make sure it matches your skin really well. Report It

There's this new thing out though from Neosporin--pads--I saw in Seventeen that they were good at fading scars too. Probably expensive, however.

Ah, but don't worry about it really. Unless it's a trigger, it's only a reminder that you're a stronger person now. Report It

thanks, ill get some advil from a friend adn try it, thanks so much! lol it sucks that im so young too.:Pim only 14 thats kinda funny my friend is in the same hole only she still does it and im still getting over it so its gonna be a tough journey but i think she'll help me. thansk for the advice Report It

Well, let me first say that I am extermly happy that you quit cutting. You can try to wear long sleevs, put make-up on it, or try band-aids. Good Luck and Best Wishes!!

I am so happy for you that you stopped cutting. That is a real cry for help, so continue to get the support and assistance that you need. My body is so scarred, that I look like a road map. This is from many surgeries. Unfortunately, scars never go away. Vitamin A applied topically will help some, but will not remove your scars completely. Think of those marks as your "battle scars." You earned every one during a very bad time. Now you are past it, but you will always have a reminder that you don't want to go that way again. Best wishes, honey.
