Can scars ever go away?

Ok, overall, my body is fine to me. I'm not under or over weight, I have a litlle bit of acne, but that's about it. The only thing I'm concenred are the scars I have on my body. On my lower stomach there are a few bumps from scarring. The scars were mostly from a cut I had, but then it became infected when I wore a nickel belt buckel, which I didn't know I was allergic to nickel in the first place. So now my scar has worsened, and I would like to know is there any way to lessen my scarring? Thanks!

Any scars that I have had throughout my life have faded with time. I rubbed a cocoa butter stick on my chicken pox scars daily and they disappeared after a year or so. Unfortunately, I develop keloid scars sometimes and I am applying cortizone cream daily after reading an article from Glamour magazine. It seems to be helping that. Hope this helps you.

the only way i know is cocoa butter stick you can get it at like walmart..but most likely it'll just lighten the scar

vit A helps for skin im told..
and they will go away or fade away over time..
totally go away may take a few decades
i had a bad cut on my leg at age 6.. you can barly see it now.. im 52

there are scar creams that are over the counter and you can buy them almost anywhere.

Time heals all wounds. To an extent of course. I think it depends on the severity of the scar, i.e. how deep the laseration was, did you have stitches, etc.

I have had many scars over the years, the smaller of which went away in a few years time, while the deepest ones are still there very visible.

I think now there are some 'ointments' that help to lessen scarring but I cannot verify how effect these are if at all. Maybe you should try them in report back to us? ;)
