What surgeries are there for acne scars?

I have acne scars and want to get them removed. They aren鈥檛 deep scars; they just look like surface scars. (My aunt has really bad acne scars where her face is actually uneven and dips down where her acne used to be.) I鈥檝e tried the 鈥淐learasil Ultra Scar Correction System鈥? but it didn鈥檛 help with my bigger scars. My parents have agreed to let me get a surgical operation as a graduation gift this summer, so I want to remove me scars. Are there any surgical procedures that will do this for me?

talk to a plastic surgeon. you might just need laser treatments, not actual surgery.

im might be doing a chemical peel for the face... it removes blemishes, scars and other stuff.... or a lazer resufaration or idk how to spell it but those are basically face surgeries... look them up. learn about it and see a doctor and they should help u with it.

There's 1 that they do with a laser, but all I'm going to say is don't do the laser way if the scars are near your eyes.

I actually have a scar on my nose that bugs me SO much, but nobody else seems to see it at all except me. I didn't even know until I tried pointing it out to this girl and she kept telling me there was no scar (there is definitely an acne scar there). It's the weirdest thing ever (all the other acne scars - which has been about 6 - disappear on their own).

This isn't exactly surgical but a professional will do it. It's called planing. With a facial plane. (not planning) It removes a thin layer of skin to remove as you said, surface scars. I'm not sure if you go home and heal between planings or if they do it
altogether. Planing has worked wonders for deeply scarred faces and don't worry, they give you some local anesthesia.
