Scarlet Fever?

I had Scarlet Fever when I was 10 in 1969 and it affected my hearing. My mother had it in 1936 and it also affected her hearing. I've never known anyone else who has had it. Is it still around today?

yes it is still around - it is caused by an organism that causes sore throats - Group A streptococcus (Streptococcus pyogenes) - i think the reason scarlet fever isn't seen as much is because of all the antibiotics that are used. it is still around though.

Yes it is..... check out this site

I'll be watching to find out as well. Good question. I had a
round with malaria in 1933 and it affected my hearing as well.
Now I read that It is making a comeback
