Can you catch both scarlet fever & slap cheek at the same time?

What the hell is slap cheek?

It is not very likely, one is caused by a bacterium and the other is viral. If you have a proven case of Scarlet fever, with positive throat swab for streptococcus, you may well have red cheeks as part of your scarlet fever. You might possibly also have red cheeks from erysipelas, which is also caused by streptococcal infection.
