My sister just got diagnosed with Scarlet Fever. She's been on antibiotics for 2days- is it still contagious? no, after 48 hours she is no longer capable of transmitting the disease thru casual contact. Do not share utensils, drinking glasses or anything else that goes into the mouth. Other than that, not an issue anymore. I think you should call the doctor's office and ask just to be sure - Scarlet Fever is kind of a big deal. Often when someone is sick though, they're not contagious once they've been on antibiotics for 24 hours. Part of it might depend on the disease you're talking about tho.... I think you should call a doctor to be sure. |
