No they are separate diseases and not linked; Scarlet Fever is caused by a variety of Strep virus which is not related in any way to Hepatitis. Hepatitis is inflammation of the liver and can be caused by either bacteria or a virus. The two illnesses have nothing to do which each other. my daughter contracted scarlet fever when she was 3yrs, she is 22 now and to my knowledge you can not contract hepatis through the suffering of this illness in earlier life, but you must also know that the suffering of scarlet fever in childhood will not render you immune from hepatitis contracted by other means later in life No it can cause heart conditions no complications u can get from scarlet fever r rheumatism,otitis media andnephritis |
