What could happen if u have a 103.4 fever?? |
just wanna know...cuz i saw a qestion about fever and it mademe remember the time i had a 103.4 fever. the doctor said i had scarlet fever.....i got better but what could have happened to me?? Remember, fevers are your body's natural response to infection, and not necessarily a sign that something serious is taking place. if ur fever gets that high u can die my temp spiked 107 one time i don't think 103.4 is that dangerous... but nothing to play with either Assuming YOUR normal body temperature is 98.6F: I've had that, you'll get achy muscles but no long term damage. If your fever gets to be 105-6, you can get brain damage, go crazy and even die. You're safe though don't worry. They use to say you could go brain dead but my son has had fevers higher then that and now they dont worry so much about it as long as the person is drinking and eatting. You won't die with 103.4 degree fever. I've had much higher than that and I'm talking to you now aren't I? my son's fever hits as high as 105.2 and they say is only a virus....dunno...all i know is he gets horrible headaches when it goes that high...scares the daylights outta me...the doctors only give him a fever reducer that i can get at walgreens...im afraid his brain will bake one of these days i had a fever of 105 before..and I was fine..108 and ur dead..anything over 105..go to the doctor asap..103.4's nto bad..ive had that lots..but if ur worried..juss go see a doc Scarlet fever is an infection caused by a streptococcus bacterium. It can be transmitted through the air or by physical contact and primarily affects children between four and eight years of age. In temperate climates, scarlet fever is most common during the late fall, winter, and early spring. Scarlet fever is characterized by a sore throat, a fever of 103鈥?04掳F (39.4鈥?0掳C), and a sandpaper-like rash on reddened skin. If scarlet fever is untreated, such serious complications can develop; as rheumatic fever (a heart disease) or kidney inflammation (glomerulonephritis). |
