Oh.Guess where I got scabies, guess where someone else got lice?

I wrote an answer to a question where someone wanted to know where
they got scabies or if they had it. I wrote a long reply. I said I was
in very poor homes a lot all over as a caseworker for the Division of
Family Services, and never contracted lice or scabies.
I had to get scabies when I was a student nurse and went to a doctor's
office for a physical. I know I got them there, because it was immediate,
there was absolutely no doubt about it. Someone else
I know contracted body lice in a hospital as a patient.

Makes sense. Hospitals and doctor's offices are filled with sick people. Your chances of catching something in either of these places is far greater than just being out in the open air.
