Is it scabies!? |
I have a rash along my waist/bikini area and in my armpits. It doesn't itch all of the time. The location of the rash matches that of scabies, but I am not sure if that is it or not. If I had scabies, would the rash continue to spread over more of my body? Because it has stayed the same for about a week. Also, is it possible to get scabies treatment (permethrin?) over the counter? I don't have insurance. Does it itch like mad? Is it worse at night? Does it feel like parasites crawling under your skin? I was diagnosed with scabies when I was in high school, but it was just eczema. Steroid cream fixed me up nicely. If the rash is only where you say it could be your laundry detergent sometimes they change formulas without notifying the consumer. where you say your rash is, is where your clothes hug you the closest so the laundry detergent may be the coluprete. Go to the free clinic in your area. They should also direct you to help getting the presc filled too. I had the same thing happen to me, it was the worst feeling ever when I realized what scabies actually entails! Thankfully, the doctor told me that what I had was a simple folliculitis (infection of the hair follicles) and that it was probably caused by using the same razor to shave my bikini line and armpits. He prescribed me prescription strength benzoyl peroxide cream and told me to buy a second razor. scabies treatments are pestisides and very dangerous especially if you do not have scabies . your local health department is required by law to evaluate you if you suspect scabies cause its a public health issue and you do not need insurance . if it is scabies they will give you medication free if they rule out scabies then its best you do not use anything till you find out what it is you do have, |

I had scabies a few months ago(picked it up from a kid I babysit for)...I have never heard nor had scabies eat holes in clothes.I think it would have to be something else,but it's definitely n...
