How did I get Scabies again?!? |
My fiance' contracted scabies from sleeping on a blanket that his infected sister had slept on. When he moved in with me he didn't know he had it, so within a month we both had scabies. We went to an urgent care clinic and got elimite cream, and used it immediately that night. Before I used the cream I washed EVERYTHING in hot water and then put in the hot dryer. We had thought our scabies went away, but it came back within a month. We moved in with my parents in July 2007 and realized we had scabies in August 2007. Scabies went away and they came back by October/November 2007. We haven't gone back to the doctor since, and NOBODY else has it that we're around a lot. My parents don't have it, my neices and nephews don't have it, and I watch them all the time! People have sat on my bed, laid on my bed, played on my bed... NOBODY has it. I'm frustrated. I read on WebMd that there is a pill you can take... Does anybody have any suggestions for me? How do I clean my car's interior? Last time I got Lysol disinfecting spray all over the inside of my car, but I don't know if it worked or not. Could I have given it to my dogs and they could have given it back to me? How do I get rid of scabies on a dog? Would I take them to a vet? I would go back to the doctor you might need aggressive treatment Scabbies are carried by rodents, such as mice or rats, it could be you need to set traps in your rooms. I don't see how else you could be getting reinfested unless the first treatment didn't exterminate them. Go back to the doctors and get more cream and buy new bedding, burn the old stuff. ;-) They must be in fomites. this and headlice are a pain you have to clean EVERYTHING.... clothes bedding anythign you may have touched laid on ... even your cars... |

I would absolutely think they should! Scabies are very contagious! My niece got them as a baby and before you knew the WHOLE family had them. They may not necessarily tell the exact patient, b...
