Help me, scabies question!?

i have scabies, i have no idea where they came from. i make no skin to skin contact with anyone, and i share no clothes with anyone. i got them a couple months ago, i was dating a girl, that had no signs or symptoms of scabies. is there a way i could of gotten them from her, even though she never knew she had them?

An infested person can spread scabies before symptoms appear. It commonly affects several family members at the same time. So she could have had them at the time and not the symptoms yet, or it could have been from anyone. It is extremely easy to catch scabies, such as trying on clothes in a department store, locker rooms, using an infected towel, etc, and so forth.

Scabies is easier to get than you think. You can catch it from sitting in a chair that an infected person sat in. Fortunately, it's easily treated. Just make sure to wash everything (your bedding, clothes, etc.) thoroughly and use your Rx lotion (I'm assuming you went to the dr to dx this, as it'd be really tough for you to see scabies without a microscope).

OH... and make sure those you live with do the same!

Scabies is highly contagious, so really you could have gotten it anywhere.

it wasnt her,they dont take months to develop.they are quite easy to catch.been to a store and tried on any clothing lately?used a locker room?sat on equipment at a gymn?bingo!most likely,u tried on clothes at a store.my mom tried on a hat once-and a few hours later-head lice !!!!!!!!
