Home treatment for scabies?

My daughter recently spent the weekend at her dad's house and came home with scabies. I am wondering if there are any scabies treatments out there that are both effective and LOW cost as I am a single mother of two and don't have lots of extra money.

also wondering how to treat a baby who is 6 months....can he use the same stuff we do?

Hello
I had scabbies at the age of 13 and i used lotion that is given to your by your gp, also the gp recommended that you treat everybody in the household as it is very contagious. The cream is usualy used twice a week and takes about 4 weeks to completly go. The doctor told me that the first sign of scabbies is a blister on the wrist as me and my bother got told, and once is seen should be treated to avoid more of them traveling which will also mean it wont cost to much.
im sure your doctor will be able give you some suggestions on how to get the cream.
But you could go to a family centre im sure they can help
Hope this helps
feel free to email me

hmmmm, well I don't know about that but whatever! I saw my doctor and he told the treatment was a ONE time thing and that he DOES NOT supply the treatment that is an over the counter purchase made by me............. Report It

It takes medication from a doctor. If you can't afford it go to your local health department.

theres not a home remady and ur daughter probly didnt get scabies from her dads house because scabies take weeks b4 it shows signs and can be on ur skin for a month b4 it shows up.there is no home remideis i have had it and i take a medcine thats in a tube for it .go to a free health clinic in ur area. or low cost i was only charged 25$ for the medicine and i DONT think u can use the same one on the baby.u need to go see a doctor.this is just my opinion. Please see a doctor
