Scabies, how long before i itch?

After coming in contact with the itchy scabies creature, how long will it be before they would burrow and how long before i would start to have signs or symptoms of an actual infestation?

If everything goes well for the mites, then the patient who harbors them will start getting mite itch about 2 to 3 weeks from the time infested.

Scabies, lice, crabs; what's in a name? The little creatures burrow on contact. You will probably have signs/symptoms of itching within a month. Within two months, you will be able to see the little buggers.

If you suspect, or know, that you are infected, there are over-the-counter medications to treat the infection. Your pharmacist can direct you to these medications. If your infestation has gone beyond over-the-counter medication, you will need to consult a physician. Don't be embarrassed to consult your pharmacist or a physician for treatment. You certainly don't want to spread any infestation to others.
