Scabies Treatment Ideas? |
I was recently diagnosed with scabies (although I'm really skeptical about it. The NP who diagnosed me didn't test one of the sores to see what mite it was exactly...) and I generally know what to expect as far as treatment. However, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for my couch and mattress since I can't feasibly wash or cover with a plasitc bag for a week. I found some spray online that kills mites, but it costs $100! I would appreciate any help!! In case anyone's wondering, my symptoms include a widespread area of itchy inflammed skin that I mistook for hives at first. Now I know that it definately is not (whether or not it's actually scabies is questionable). The sores vary in size. Some with a diameter of about 1cm, some as small as a dot. Sores resemble plateaus instead of a rounded shape and skin is slightly flaky. The sores show mainly on both the dorsal and ventral epidermis, as well as the lateral and anterior epidermis on my neck. My family had them a month ago. |
