This kid had SCABIES!!!? |
I was asked to watch this child who has scabies, I did not know that he had scabies when i agreed to watch him. I am pregnant and my who family came into contact with this child. Do i need to go to the doctor? I have never had to deal with something like this before. Are you serious? They asked you to watch a kid with SCABIES without telling you about it? If I was you I would seek immediate legal or physical (wink) action against the douche bag parents who set you up like that. I would totally reccommend a trip to the doctor, you can never be too safe. yes! go to the doctor and stop watching the kid yes,..and get the shampoo to bathe in wash every thing he came into contact with. you definatly should just to be safe for you and your child. a friend of mine got scabies a couple of months ago and i kind of flipped out because he was hanging at my house all week. but i never came down with any symptoms or anything.....if you notice itchy pimples grouped together on the webs of your toes and feet, inner legs, genitals, elbows and knees and waistline then get your self checked out. it can take up to 4-6 weeks before the frist out break comes. it is not life threatening or anything but its a ***** to get rid of them I know ppl who had them they went to Mayo Clinic best way to kill and prevent them they told me was using "Dial" soap and hot water. But I'd stay away from the infected ppl I think there more a nuisance then a health risk.I don't think you need a special trip to Doctor but I tell my OBGYN when you back for your check up just in case, hope this helps. Scabies are just mites that get under the epidural part of the skin and eats the dead skin cells causing rash or itch. Calamine lotion works for this. Are you sure that's what the kid has ? Scabies is a skin parasite, and its spread by very close contact, like sleeping together, etc. It can easily be treated using skin lotions and cream containing "lindane" or"permethrin",available OTC. Using a anti-itch cream (1% hydro-cortisone cream) OTC will help with the intense itching etc.Since you are pregnant , you should consult your OB-GYN before using any medications.Be sure to wash any bedding the little child used, all family members having had skin to skin contact should be treated together.Take care. SW RNP i would see a doctor. scabies is a mite that burries itself under the skin. i think the signs are red spots with black dots in. if you had it you would need to use a special cream every day and wash your bedding on a high temperature every day to get rid of it. |
