my friend got scabies LAST summer and its already a year. The scabies left along time ago, but now she has alot of blemishes on her skin leftover. its on all of her legs feet arms stomach. Is there any way she can get rid of these weird discolorations? I there any home made recipe? Is there any cream i can get at a pharmacy for her? She said her doctor said it will go away in time but she said she waited a year and it looks really bad and it prevents here from doing a lot of things.PLEASE help

I had scabies two years ago and i had scars all over my legs. For a year is was very noticeable all over my legs but after another year the scars are going away, so it will take sometime to heal.

Tell your friend that it does really take a long time to get those skin lesions to resolve. The bug might be gone but the lesions and tracks usually are left in the skin even for years. Advise her to go see a dermatologist to check on the lesions. If it is possible, the derma could prescribe some topical preparations to help lighten up the scars or post inflammatory hyperpigmentations for that matter.

My mom had scabies last year too, and a few times before that. They are very painful and itch like crazy. Your doctor is right about giving it time to hear. Mom's scabies are gone (for now) but her skin is scared. Tell you friend to go to a dermatologist. Maybe they know something they can perscribe for her.

You can always type "scabies" in on you search engine. There are tons of medical sites for this.

Dear friend scabies is parasite infection, by which you can get rid with the help of 5% permetherin, which you can apply over all skin, but important thing is method of application of ointment, for which you can apply twice a day, than apply next day two times but without taking bath, means 4 times in 48 hrs, witout taking bath. Same aplication can be repeated once in a week , at least for 4 weeks. If u have infected scabies than you can use some antibiotics, if you have resistant scabies than you can use ivermectin with permetherin.
