Synovial Sarcoma? |
My daughter-in-law was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma recently. It is a rare form of cancer. It is in one of her lungs. She will be having surgery sometime next week, and then comes radiation therapy. I have read a lot about this type of cancer, and the prognosis is discouraging. Does anyone have any experience with this type of cancer personally, or within your circle of friends or family? Your daughter in law should be treated by a sarcoma specialist or at a sarcoma center because this disease is so rare. The best places to find information about sarcoma is with the support groups. she is going to need major support, there is strong possibility she will have to have further surgery and its spread to other areas. I suggest a good support group for you, and for her too. basically you can pray, yet dont leave it there, she needs comfort right now, someone to help her to the hopital and a woman friend to vent and be emotionally bonded to. |
