If kaposi's sarcoma is a form of cancer caused by the herpes virus affecting immunosepression in some people,

then can the regular herpes simplex 1 and 2 lead to cancer, such as cancer of the cervix and fallopian tubes?

At this time, there is no scientific data that supports a link between the Herpes Virus and cancer. This virus seems to complicate the lives of those who are infected, due to fear of transmission and social stigmatization. It does not appear to have any link to deadly diseases. The very rare exception to this rule is found in newborns whose mothers pass the virus onto the child. This can cause the potentially fatal disease herpes encephylitis.

Karposi's Sarcoma (KS) is an AID's defining illness caused by the herpes virus. Like other immuno-suppressed patient's, AID's patients are suseptible to otherwise rare, but very fatal diseases. KS is one of many of these so called opportunistic illnesses. KS preys upon the comprised immune system of HIV infected people.

I believe that it does incease your risk factor.

No and Kaposi's is vascular sarcoma not a cancer.

Kaposi's sarcoma is linked to Human herpes virus 8. This is a different virus, than Herpes simplex 1 or 2. These two later are not known to cause cancer.
Kaposi's may occur in non-AIDS patients, it is definitely not limited to immunocompromised patients.
Kaposi's sarcoma is not malignant, it is a BORDERLINE vascular tumor. This means it's behaviour is somewhere between malignant and benign; it may metastasize, but it is usually not aggressive.
