If someone is diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma and has been having problems for 6 mon. what are thier chances? |
hip area I belive 15 year old boy There is treatment for Ewing's sarcoma. Sucessful treatment will depend on many factors . . the stage of the cancer, the overall health of the patient and his response to first line treatment. All stages of the disease have a treatment plan, but stage IV is the most difficult . . not impossible, just difficult. my brother had ewing sarcoma. it's very serious so do everything as quiclky as you can. find out what needs to be done from the doctor but don't wait as it can spread quickly in the system. my brother was diagonised with that and if he were told sooner his chances would have been better. he died when he was 16. boys are the only ones who get this between the ages of 13- 20. it went from my brothers arm into his bones and it went quickly. find out if you can remove the arm or leg as they told us if we did that he would had survived. ask your doctor for referrals on who to go to and who your doctor would recommend but don't wait as this can spread quickly. |
