My mother was recently diagnosed with sarcoma? |
my question is, the tumor in her abdomen is 17cm, how long do you think she has left I am so sorry to hear about your mom. However, this isn't the forum to ask that question. It will only give you false hope. Talk to her doctor. Get her to an acupuncturist asap. Chinese medicine and herbs works miracles! Where in her abdomen? What stage is it? From what I've read, sarcoma has a high rate of survival, but you need more info in the question for me to give my unlicensed answer. It depends on the stage, and if it has metastatasized http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcoma I'm assuming she has uterine sarcoma?? Her prognosis totally depends on how much the cancer has spread and her response to the appropriate treatment. See this website for good info: The physicians will have a treatment. Her body's response to the therapy will be the big factor. When they feel it is appropriate they will recommend hospice care. No one focuses on guessing an exact life span. It is not the cancer which kills but the interruption of something necessary such as breathing, the circulation, or digestion. Focus on the quality of life. We are all mortal. We just do not know when. Saarcomas vary so in aggressiveness that I could not guess. Some are diagnosed and after removal the patient lives many years. In others spread to lungs, liver, bones and brain is rapid. Did she show any spread? Read the information and testimonials on my page. |
