What is the outcome for ewings sarcoma?

cancer being treated with chem and now abnormalties to the bone marrow

You need to provide more information. There are treatment options for Ewings sarcoma that depend on the location, stage of disease, overall health of patient, response to first line treatment, and age. All patients with cancer are individuals so it is impossible to tell what the outcome will be. There are survivors for all stages of Ewings sarcoma.

The first thing I would encourage is to take the patient to a Sarcoma specialist or a Sarcoma center. Sarcoma is rare and needs to be treated by someone who understands this type of cancer. You can locate a Sarcoma center at the Sarcoma Alliance website:

You should also consider joining a Ewings sarcoma support group who can point you to the latest information and treatment options available.

Finally you need to research this disease so that you understand what is going on with treatment and setbacks and further treatments. Abnormalities are setbacks, so you find out what you need to do to gain control over the cancer.

Stay strong. There is always hope.

it could go either way depending on the stage of the tumor.
