Do you know the survival rate for PNET(Ewing's Sarcoma)? |
My daughter is 19 and was dx last year,w/it on her chest wall near the 6th rib, she had 2 chemoes left and suddenley it has now spread to her spine and she is paralyzed from waist down. She did have emergency surgery to remove and still has not gained any mobility. Now they think it has spread up the spine in her neck area and she has lost strength in her rt arm first and now her left. She can still move very slowly. It has also spread through her chest area. She just finished 5 days of radiation to the neck area so she could have abit better quality of life. We are now being asked about Hospice. I Wish She Get well soon.. & a good Improvement resault from the docter..that show her good situation & condiction.. & clear you & your Daughter worried away.. If she's on chemo, there's a 60-70% survival rate. My heart goes out to you.I lost a brother due to sarcoma which is like PNET in many ways.Chemo,remission,chemo,remission,thi... will lower her immunity.Im not trying to make matters worse but in cancer that is the norm. The thought of her passing away in front of you can devestating,If she was in hospice you still can visit everyday.I saw my brother die and cant get it out of my mind.I wish her and you the best of luck. |
