Life expectancy hiv pos. w/ hep c and kaposi's sarcoma who refuses hiv meds and is a crack smoker.?

I agree with Mark G: This person is not coping with the disease process. I hope they are taking something for depression. I'm not sure YOU can do anything for someone so hell-bent on destruction. It's like "I'm going to die anyway, so I might as well go out high". That's what got them there in the first place. It's really pitiful. If this person has advanced cirrohris of the liver, he/she is going to suffer. Karposi's sarcoma isn't a party either and can really upset caretakers who see it. Perhaps this person feels like that's what they deserve. If I were you and you felt very close to this person, I would get counseling for MYSELF on how to deal with these problems. Praying for you both.

much longer than they would want.... it is true that all of those would cut life expectency way down.. but quality of life is important, with the drugs and lack of meds, this person is looking for a much miserable time as well as is a danger to anyone they are around...... if the want to commite suiside there are better ways.... but what this is truely is a slow and miserable suiside... nothting less

no telling, I am always amazed at the amount of neglect and abuse the human body can sometimes endure without dying. That's not to say the person might not be dead by tonight, but it might also be 5 years from now.

That some heavy stuff to be dealing with.

I wouldn't have thought the life expectancy would be too long at all - unfortunately.

I agree with the other answers, the person in question really does not won't to prolong the obvious.

Good luck
