Sarcoidosis??? |
i have just been told i may have sarcoidosis today, am going for x-ray tomorrow... but am a little confused as to exactly what it is? i have the nodules on my shins and a general feeling of fatigue. my doctor has told me that if the x-ray isn't sufficient i will have to have an internal exam with a camera :( anyone know what it is appart from swelling of the lungs etc? I was tested myself for sarcoidosis years ago but ended up being diagnosed with osteoarthritis, though they were never completely sure. Sarcoidosis involves inflammation that produces tiny lumps of cells in various organs in your body. The lumps are called granulomas because they look like grains of sugar or sand. They are very small and can be seen only with a microscope. |
