Sarcoidosis???

i have just been told i may have sarcoidosis today, am going for x-ray tomorrow... but am a little confused as to exactly what it is? i have the nodules on my shins and a general feeling of fatigue. my doctor has told me that if the x-ray isn't sufficient i will have to have an internal exam with a camera :( anyone know what it is appart from swelling of the lungs etc?
i also have to get my eyes checked and do a 24hr urine sample.... any advice or knowledge would be appreciated....

I was tested myself for sarcoidosis years ago but ended up being diagnosed with osteoarthritis, though they were never completely sure.

The first link below will tell you more about sarcoidosis and what it is exactly. You will see there that it is an inflammatory condition just as arthritis and numerous other disease are.

I am not a doctor so take this for what it is worth:

If you choose to take drugs per your doctors instructions that is your choice. You should remember though that medical doctors prescribe drugs for 2 reasons: 1. That's what they are trained in and 2. It is illegal in the USA to claim that anything other than a drug can be used to treat or cure disease. You should also remember that almost all if not all drugs come with side effects some which are extremely dangerous. That said - please consider a couple natural approaches to use either as an alternative or to complement the drug treatment your doctor prescribes.

Like sarcoidosis, multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease which has responded well by simply supplying the body with the 72 trace elements found in seafood. See the last link below which puts sarcoidosis on it's list of autoimmune diseases that may be helped by simply eating 4 to 6 ounces of seafood every day. I find this site most believable since the website is not selling any product. Of course there are products on the market that do provide trace elements. Concentrace is one. Also, sea plankton would contain the trace elements. But neither of these would contain the omega 3 found in seafood. My wife and I take fish oil at every meal that we don't eat seafood and we are sure to eat seafood once a day.

Sarcoidosis involves inflammation that produces tiny lumps of cells in various organs in your body. The lumps are called granulomas because they look like grains of sugar or sand. They are very small and can be seen only with a microscope.

These tiny granulomas can grow and clump together, making many large and small groups of lumps. If many granulomas form in an organ, they can affect how the organ works. This can cause symptoms of sarcoidosis.

Sarcoidosis can occur in almost any part of your body, although it usually affects some organs more than others, usually the lungs or lymph nodes.
