Is there any other medicine besides steroids that can help with sarcoidosis?

well, there is no known way to prevent sarcoidosis. but treatment often involves corticosteroids (prednisone) and thats about it. unfortunately, the side effects of steroid use are terrible, the biggest one being weight gain and facial puffiness (weight gain in the face). sometimes people may also develop what looks like acne on the face because of the prednisone. some people may tolerate the steroids very well. your doctor should put you on the lowest possible dose of the steroid to control the symptoms.

if steroids dont work, then pulmonary rehabilitation may be considered, you will be encouraged to exercise lightly to improve lung function, you may be offered alternate drugs such as methotrexate (which is also used to treat cancers, such as breast cancer).

Don't think so.
Other drugs can be used but their side effects are serious

Unfortunately, since the etiology of this disorder is known, there is little known about how to treat it.

If I should carry the diagnosis, in addition to following the doctor's orders I would endeavor to live a very healthy lifestyle, including supplemental vitamins.

It is also one of the diseases that I might be willing to try alternative medicines, and receive the results empirically.

Shorthand: try anything, so long as it is healthy.
