my friend says to take a little bit of salt water when i run. is this right?

Qbankid92: now u wanna lose the water but not the salt cause the salt takes place of the water and u lose weight faster
Qbankid92: water stays in the fat and u sweat out water instead of salt
GAVISUAREZ: why do people say that salt retains water
Qbankid92: no on the contrairy
Qbankid92: it takes the place os it
Qbankid92: cause if u have to much water in your body u swaet that out instead of fat
Qbankid92: salt halps u hidrate
Qbankid92: so the point is that u want less water
Qbankid92: just trust me it'll give u more energy

drink gatorade, it has sodium (salt) in it, and it helps you rehydrate

You friend is misinformed. SALT FOLLOWS WATER. You're going to retain more water. Drink a sport drink.

when you are exercising you are losing salt through your sweat. so either eat something thats a little bit salty before and after you run. be careful not to overdo it though as too much salt in your system can lead to high blood pressure/tension and sweling of your tissues (weight gain)

A suggestion re: weight loss. Cut out all sugar. also sugar substitutes. You will lose weight automatically. bettyk

I have ran-exercised for years. Nothing will beat plain water and juice.
Pure natural juice (non-sugared crap) is the best beverage. Its full of minerals-vitamins, which your system will readily assimilate and turn into fuel = energy.
Your not going to gain weight from all natural fruits and juices.
