Salt water question? losing weight? |
my friend says to take a little bit of salt water when i run. is this right? drink gatorade, it has sodium (salt) in it, and it helps you rehydrate You friend is misinformed. SALT FOLLOWS WATER. You're going to retain more water. Drink a sport drink. when you are exercising you are losing salt through your sweat. so either eat something thats a little bit salty before and after you run. be careful not to overdo it though as too much salt in your system can lead to high blood pressure/tension and sweling of your tissues (weight gain) A suggestion re: weight loss. Cut out all sugar. also sugar substitutes. You will lose weight automatically. bettyk I have ran-exercised for years. Nothing will beat plain water and juice. |
