Salt Water Healthy For Teeth? |
Why? I'm not so sure you would want to brush with salt. It is rather abrasive and may damage the enamel on your teeth. Baking Soda would be better to brush with. The salt is great for a mouth rinse. Make a solution of warm water and about a teaspoon of salt and rinse with it after brushing. It is great when you have teeth extracted and or a sore throat. It's fine, sort of like a natural mouthwash. Any salt will do. I once had a large tooth out and the dentist told me to rinse my mouth with saltwater to keep it clean and prevent infection. So, rinse away! |
