Salt for bad tooth? |
what exactly dees salt do to your teeth? like, what about it helps a topoth ache? do i put the salt directlyon the toooth and/of gum??/ or rinse with warm water and salt? what the difference and what does it do? Salt dries and shrinks things so if you have puffy gums or an infection, it helps dry and shrink it. And that reduces the pressure build up within the tooth and around the gum, thus reducing pain. It's just a quick fix before a person can see a Dentist to take care of the problem salt water rinse with warm water will help draw out infection. it wont do anything to the tooth, it will help the gum. It won't "cure" the tooth. It won't fix any infection. The most it will do is help with any pain you're having. :-/ It does indeed help with the pain, though, although I'm not sure exactly why. Make a mixture of salt and warm water and swish. Hope you feel better! People use it to brush there teeth and it also helps prevents infections, some dentist after surgery they would say gargle with warm salt water. Hi there, i absolutely can't believe that a fellow dentist would encourage the use of salt water. if you have an infection in the jaw bone that is caused by a tooth that is abscessing you have 2 options.....knock it out yourself or go to the dentist and have it fixed. and when you go to the dentist, salt water will not be used at all during the appointment. |
