Why not Iodized salt? |
There has been some lengthly discussion and unless I missed it, I do not read anything about why plain salt and not ALL iodized salt is being produced for consumption in the U S of A. It is known to prevent goiter by iodizing salt and is not more costly at the grocery. The worldwide project of Kiwanis International is to eradicate goiter in the world by adding salt to everyones salt. Some people are sensitive to iodine. Allergies and whatnot. Iodized salt is bad for you.... go for the sea salt... Iodized salt is also adulterated with sugar and sand (silica). Some people prefer pure salt and will get their Iodine from multivitamins. I think there are some people who have medical conditions that make it so they can't have iodine in their diet. I'm not sure what those medical conditions are though, maybe their bodies store up iodine and it becomes toxic in their blood. Just a theory. |
