Why do i crave salt all the time? it's starting to take it's toll on my blood pressure and i'm only 21!!!!

it's kinda ridiculous actually, i put salt on pizza, make pumpkin seeds loaded with salt, even eat a pound bag or pretzel sticks (sticks cause the salt sticks on them most) and then lick my finger so the salt will stick to it and lick the salt off my finger....

and i'm not pregnant....i've been this way for a few years now.

A craving for salty foods may be a symptom of adrenal exhaustion, especially in people who live fast-paced, stressful lives. If this is the case, it is recommended that eating food high in vitamin C is helpful (citrus, pepper and broccoli) and potassium (parsley, garlic, spinach and carrot). Salt cravings can also be a symptom of serious conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and sickle cell anemia, so if you crave a lot of salt, you should really see your doctor and get a complete physical.

i was like that to well i still am but the blood pre- is fine

i have high blood pressure to and i crave sault all the time too.lol mabye we crave it becuz we know we shouldnt lol

I dunno I have been like that to since I turned about 21 Im 24 now and I still crave salt. I eat popcorn just to have an excuse to eat salt!! lol. and Seafood cause it is salty especially osters, something I thought I would never eat. And the best is salt and chocolate together. lol. Its crazy. If i could pour salt on my chocolate without people thinking I was crazy I would. I dip pretzels in chocolate, popcorn and chocolate, even potato chips.
