How does salt lower sugar level? |
I've recently tried adding table salt to a oral rehydration salt containing mainly of glucose and NaCl. the level of a 240 ml oral rehydration salt yeilds 30.1 mmol, using a glusose meter; i then add 6 g table salt (NaCl) to this solution and within 5 minutes the glucose concentration drop to 15.8 mmol. can anyone pls explain this to me. In my experience, it doesn't. In my experience, it doesnt. Salt actually makes my BSL higher than normal. I think this is due to the fact that having too much salt dehydrates the body and deprives it of water. Dont try these experiments( which is easy as compared to , instead change your eating habits, exercising a lot , taking low calory high fiber diet for lowering blood glucose which is difficult) |
