Is salt water good for carmps?

I heard that one reason leg cramps occur is because the lack of water and salt in your body. So if I drink salt water everytime before i run my mile or so will i have cramps? and i dont mean alot of salt in the water just a little.

Usually potassium is the problem. Salt water can kill ya.

id think its good to drink salt water, it can dehydrate u quickly

I don't think you should put them to together.

No salt water is a bad idea. You should eat a banana everyday to get more potassium in your system.

thats not going to help. If your going to be athletic, you need to drink lots and lots of water, doesn't matter if your running or not. Eat 1 or 2 bannana's every day, there tasty anyways, (thats for potassium). and make sure your running correctly...are you rolling your feet well, or are you slamming them on the ground. go to a sports store and make sure you have the right shoe for your foot, they won't charge for that, they might try to sell you another pair though. If you haven't been running alot or consistently this is the most likely cause for cramps, be honest with yourself and rather than rationalizing your skill set now, work on improvement.
