It raises your blood pressure. Bad for your heart.

ADD: there is salt added to just about every food you buy today (except oranges I would think) so you need to be careful about how much salt you add yourself.

no its not bad for me.

too much salt is bad

in big doses...

it is bad for you. of course a certain amount is acutally good for you. but if you have too much, it can lead to high blood pressure. take it from me....a sufferer of high blood pressure due to too much salt. it can also lead to major migranes, and dehydration, both of which i suffer from. and yes, it can also damange your liver.

good luck :)

salt isnt bad for you if you have a moderate amount but if you have too much it can cause high blood pressure wich is bad for you heart and blood vessels

Salt is not bad for you. Too Much Salt is bad for you. You may be going a little heavy on the salt eating it on oranges though I like that myself. You might need to cut back a bit

No. You need a certain amount of sodium each day... EXCESS salt is bad, and since most processed foods already have salt in them, adding more salt to each meal is too much.

Salt on oranges? You're a creative personage.

well you need salt in your diet but too much is bad for you

too much can be bad and lead to cholesterol problems

TOO MUCH CAUSES CANCER DUH.
THATS WHY SOO MANY PEOPLE HAVE IT.

Too much salt is bad.

I am not to much of a salt fan, but if you are wondering, a lot of salt IS bad for you.You need salt to live,bc your body needs a certain amout of salt, but You heart might get something wrong with it if you eat too much.

YOUR WELCOME!
KABIONI

i think you can get enough of it just from eating normal foods, esp. packaged foods

your stomach needs it to keep from eating itself and you definitely need it for making things in your body and stuff

go easy on it, i guess...

Salt is bad if you eat a lot of it every day. We need a small amount of salt in our diets, but we can get that from food naturally without adding any extra. It's people who put salt on everything, eat heavily salted foods etc. that end up with heart attacks by the time they are 40. So if this was just a one of thing, calm down. You'll be fine. But oranges with salt?
eeeww.............

salt itself is not bad for the liver. but when you have a liver disease you usually need to follow a low salt dieet due to symptoms of the liver disease that cause you to have swelling. the salt will make this symptom worse

you need it to survive. but too much can raise your blood pressure

In large quantities it is. If you eat a lot of salt, make sure you drink enough water to balance out the salt intake. I know if I eat to much salt, I get a consistent headache until I take some aspirin. (Which is ironic because if you read the label/ingredients on a bottle of aspirin, it has some type of sodium ingredient in it)

Sort of.

Your body actually does need some salt to function properly, but if you eat too much of it, it'll make you more bloated because it forces your body to hold onto excess water.

However, i've been craving salt & POURING it on almost everything since 5th grade. A year back, my doctor did a laboratory analysis on my hair strands, and as it turns out, I was actually deficeint in sodium! So listen to your body. If you crave it, there could be a reason.

And I've never heard of anything being bad for your liver, other than drinking and consuming waaaay too much of the vitamin B12 (which is difficult to overdose on).

my friend would say no.. and he seems fine so id be hard pressed to disagree.. i watch him practically pour the shaker on his fries every time we are out.

He says he's always done it.. and i know i used to.. so it cant be that bad!
