Salt craving and headaches?

my mom asked me why she is craving salt, and i dont know. she's only 36, and she doesn't have any health problems. but it's a constant salt craving. and on top of that for the past month or so she's getting constant headaches on the top of her head. --serious answers only, please--

Dehydration can cause headaches. She may be craving salt because it tends to help the body absorb water which would combat dehydration. Also, the best course of action would be to see her doctor which will better diagnose her symptoms. I would also make sure that she is checked for high blood pressure.

She needs to get her thyroid checked. It could also be hormonal

anemic honey i kow becaus i am the same way

my mom says she gets headaches and salt cravings when she has her period.. maybe ur mom gets those cravings too.. or if its not like that just see a doc.
