Is plain old salt bad for your skin? Like if you eat salty food, does it eat away at the skin in your mouth?

I have eaten a LOT of extra super salty popcorn lately, but now the inside of my mouth is sore , numb, and feels weird. I think it's from all that salt.
Are my cheeks and gums going to blister and peel and get infected from salt poisoning ??? :(

Too much of anything can cause irritation. Leaving the salt alone for several days will allow your mouth to heal. Your cheeks and gums are not going to peel and I have never heard of salt poisoning.

yes salt can make your mouth sore and food that are rough like popcorn, chips ect ect
i dont think it will get to bad infection
if it seem infected see doctor
