Too much salt?

What would be the blood disease that requires a patient to need to take salt, even make salt sandwiches? I have just met someone who tells me he does just that, he has a blood disorder or something and doesn't know what it it called??? I've never heard of such a thing, too much salt is not good for the heart, so why would he need to take more than normal? He is very much overweight with a big belly.

I have NO idea what your friend is talking about. Especially if he is overweight already, as he would be heading towards disaster Quite honestly I think he might be pulling your leg!
If not, then I hazard a guess that he has totally and I mean totally misinterpreted his Dr's advise. Who in the world would seriously be able to eat Salt Sandwiches anyway........Yuk....:-)

I had a friend who had really low blood pressure and was told by their doctor to increase the salt in their diet.
