I have a severe salmonella bacteria infection,from a supposed good restaurant in gabon?

while abroad,i never eat anything from street vendors and drink
only bottled water,i still picked up some salmonella bacteria.
my house docter give me a ampiciline cure without results.samples are now in the hospital, but according my docter there is not really any cure for it. anybody with the same experience?

I had it once (not from abroad). i threw up for about 4 days. then eventually i just got better. my doc did not give me anything. had to stay hydrated as much as possible
