Do you think sars will come back? |
is it necessary to launch a preventive/education program in asia? It has never gone away just hasn't been in news so much... It is very difficult to wipe away any disease from the face of this earth. It will come back in another form at any moment. The disease SARS is still out there, but right now only in an animal called the Civet Cat. I believe it is likely that the disease will again jump to humans, and we will see another epidemic. Education is probably our best hope for delaying or preventing the re-emergence of SARS, and surveillance should continue in order to detect the first phases of a new outbreak. |
