What ever happened to the bird flu and SARS? The SARS virus has been contained in the places where it was initially a concern. However, the bird flu virus is still very much in attention. The disease still causes high concern worldwide. There are new outbreaks signalled regularly in different parts of the world, even where it was believed that the disease had been contained before. It is believed that bird flu will continue to be a threat to mankind for at least a few years to come, as at any moment it could mutate into a new form of the virus, that will be very difficult to combat and treat. Kind of fell by the wasteside, didnt it? There still around..... It was all made up to scare us. dam, all this time and im still walking around with my face covered They controlled SARS back in the summer of 2003. As for the bird flu, it still happens in some cases in Hong Kong. Bird Flu is still out there. It still hasn't mutated to the feared airborne strain...but it gets closer every day. Don't let the lack of news fool you. It will kill millions at least. It will most likely kill hundreds of millions. stop eating KFC man if you don't want to end up like me lying in the hospital bed with a laptop on my laps answering questions. SARS is, for the moment not around...in the US....nor according to the CD , anywhere else that has been reported. Bird FLu has been contained, but I wouldn't be eating any chicken in the orient if I were you. |
