Been sad lately?

Seems like everythin makes me sad. I mean theres a sad song on the radio and I get all sad. Or like its Christmas right, and then I just tell myself "Wow, its over another Christmas come and gone ." Or like my dad buys me a game, and then I'm like "Omg, 1 day my dad won't be able to buy me games anymore." Or like my mom buys me chips or something and I say the same thing, "1 day, she won't be able to buy me chips anymore." I'm 13 btw. Do I have a problem or is it just the hormones kicking in? I think I look into the future a lot. Thats 1 of my problems. Worrying. I cannot relax for 1 second. I'm constantly worried about school, my future and stuff. I seriously, cannot relax. Like we are doing a group project in school, and ppl are kinda messing around or do a mistake and right after it, I correct them. And they say "Dude, relax." I just try to get the job done. I just worry a lot. Seriously, I just want a good future. But still, worry constantly. Hormones? Or a problem?

It could be the chemical changes from growing up.
However, it could also be depression from stress.
I want to suggest something radical to you.
I want to suggest you sit down with your dad and tell him how seriously these things are bothering you and ask for him to help you get to the bottom of it.
It never hurts to get help from people who know how to help.
A lot of us out here are not health professionals and can only offer suggestions, however, our family will be praying on your behalf that someone who cares about you comes along side you in support until you get it all straightened out.
Doodad

Yup--you and a billion other kids went through changes--mind and body and emotions---be happy with today and don't worry about tomorrow--yesterday is gone and you can't change what happened.... take care of TODAY. you will be fine--give the body a chance to adjust to all the teenaged stuff--we all went through it. next month you will want a car, a new skateboard, a new poster for your room---one day at a time. failure is a part of life--it is OK to fail--it builds character. teaches us to be tolerant when people fail to do something for us. people do die and that is life--it hurts but that is life--we all are going to die, someday--you get what I mean?? relax and smile---good luck

I reckon you need to get a hobby. Take up something you can dedicate yourself to. Maybe take up a sport..... or something and channel all that extra energy you have.. do pushups and chin ups and go for a jog... the extra exercise induces dopamines... this cheers you up.

You don't have a problem.... but it isn't hormones either... I think you are just over analising your situation. We do get older.. and one day your dad/mum won't WANT to buy you games/chips anymore.. but you will be old enough to buy them for yourself... oh.. and "dude relax".... lol.

I note U mention the word lately ? then Sad ? also yr parent give U presents , they may not give you when U grow up etc.
I feel perhaps U are lonely without friend particularly school mates ? try to be friendly with school mates and they will be more friendly and surely all the ill thinking will stop.
nothing wrong to think of future we all do some early some late at age, you prove to be to serious, Just be yr age and you will note the burden off U, Take young Guy

It sounds like you're going through a fairly difficult time. It could just be hormones, or it could be something else. I'm 19 and I've struggled with anxiety and stress problems for a while. I've only recently discovered some mechanisms to cope. It may sound kind of cheesy, but there are all kinds of alternative medecines that help relieve stess. herbal tea is excellent. Yoga and meditation having amazing calming powers. I don't know how physically active you are, but I know if I"m sitting on my *** all day I get really stressed out and anxious, and doing something physically active like working out really helps me. Again it sounds cheesy, but if you find yourself stressing out to the extreme, a simple thing like deep, calm breathing can really help. If you think something extra-ordinary is going on, you might need to talk to someone. There's no shame in requesting to speak to a therapist. I guarentee you that EVERYONE has had to talk to a therapist at some point, and it's often really valuable to talk to someone whose trained to specifically help with situations like yours.

hope I could be helpful!

dude you got it made in the shade !
My dad passed away two months ago and these holidays have been TOUGH.
If you think you have it bad, there is someone worst off than you.
PLEASE go give your parents a big hug and tell them you love them.Once they are gone...they can't hear it !

Love ya dad

You might have S.A.D.

Sit under an florescent light for 10 min a day.
